The Quarterly NI House Price Index for properties in Newry, Mourne and Down saw the largest decrease of 4.8% across all eleven districts of Northern Ireland, with the typical residential property now costing £135,767.

Despite the drop, average prices for the area are 4.1% higher than this time last year.

Provisional results for the quarter across the whole of Northern Ireland (April – June 2018) show that:

• Between Q1 (January – March) 2018 and Q2 (April – June) 2018 the house price index decreased by 1.0%;

• Between Q2 2017 and Q2 2018 the house price index increased by 4.4%;

• 5,308 residential properties were sold during Q2 2018

• The house price index is now 19.7% higher than Q1 2015
